Globidens was a genus of mosasaur that is most well known for its highly rounded, globe-like teeth.  Unlike most types of mosasaurs with sharp teeth, Globidens' teeth had rounded nubbin-like points, which were much better suited for crushing tough armored prey like small turtles, ammonites, nautili, and bivalves.  Fossils of Globidens have been found in North America and in North Africa.
