Ankylosaurus magniventris is the only species from North America included in the genus Ankylosaurus. This dinosaur was much like a prehistoric tank, covered with hard, bony plates that offered protection from its greatest predator, T. rex. Rows of spikes ran along Anklyosaurus’s body, and small horns adorned its head and a big club protruded at the end of its tail. Ankylosaurus ate plants and its narrow beak at the end of its skull helped to strip the leaves from the plants.
