Authentic Mosasaur Tooth and Vertebrae

Prognathodon giganteus

This fossil includes very large Mosasaur teeth with vertebrae all in their natural fossilized position. The specimen is enclosed in a plaster jacket that adds strength and need not be removed. It measures 15″ high x 8-1/2″ wide x 5″ deep.

The Mosasaur is an extinct group of marine lizards that lived during the Cretaceous. During the late Cretaceous period, Mosasaurs became the dominant predator of the seas. Some of the largest Mosasaurs, including this Prognathodon giganteus which was the largest species of mosasaur, reached lengths of up to 56 feet.
