Rugops (meaning wrinkle-face) is a medium sized theropod carnivore, about 20 feet long.  It is an abelisaurid, which would have possessed the distinctive “vestigial” arms. This dinosaur inhabited what is now the African continent during the late Cretaceous period. Rugops is only known from a single fossil skull.
