Carcharodontosaurus saharicus means “Shark-toothed Lizard”
Carcharodontosaurus was one of the longest and heaviest known carnivorous dinosaurs that lived during the late Cretaceous period. Unlike the Tyrannosaurus rex, which crushed bones with its teeth, the Carcharodontosaurus had knife-like teeth, suitable for slicing flesh! Carcharodontosaurus was closely related to Giganotosaurus and was not in the same lineage as T.rex.
